The Ben Kien Shipyard, a subsidiary of the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin), delivered a 8,700-tonne cargo ship to the Japanese Kanematsu Corporation on January 31.

This was one of four 8,700-tonne cargo ships that the shipyard had built for Kanematsu.

The "Kaiki" freighter, 111.7m long, 18.6m wide and 9.6m high, was designed by the Japanese AZ Company and built under the supervision of the Japanese NK registration agency.

The first freighter in the order, the Grace Casablanca, was delivered to Kanematsu in June last year.
