The Ministry of Education and Training has approved a US$21-million investment to build a new Hue University in central Thua Thien-Hue province.

Head of the Hue University Construction Project management board Dr Ho Kiet said the investment would help build university facilities in the city's An Cuu and Thuy An wards between 2007 and 2010.

The university will include six campuses, lecture-halls, laboratories, libraries, dormitories and facilities for the faculties of Foreign Languages, Sciences, Economics and Agriculture-Forestry.

Dr Kiet said 70 percent of the project funding will come from the State budget and the remainder from the university budget.
