67 companies awarded T Mark certificates for quality products and services

The Ministry of Commerce has awarded 67 companies Thailand Trust Mark or T Mark certificates for being socially responsible and environmentally friendly.

Deputy Commerce Minister, Winichai Cheamchaeng said the award was introduced in 2012 by the Ministry of Commerce to recognize businesses that are operating in line with global standards.

The 67 awarded companies, consisting mostly of those in food and heavy industries, were judged based on their production processes, and social and environmental responsibilities.

They will be able to use the symbol ‘T Mark’ on their products as an assurance of quality.

They will also be eligible to use the Department International Trade Promotion’s public relations tools to promote their products and services.

A total of 760 companies have so far been awarded the T Mark certificates. Their T Mark status is re-assessed every three years by the Ministry of Commerce.
