As a US charitable organisation, the DeMatteis Family Foundation will provide US$25,000 to build a dormitory for disadvantaged children in central Da Nang City.

The 2-storey dormitory, which will cover an area of 627.2 square metres, is expected to offer a place for the city’s homeless and unfortunate children to temporarily stay in.

According to the municipal Foreign Department, since the beginning of this year the city has received six funding projects, worth a total of VND60 billion, with the aim of helping local poor and disabled children.
