More than 70 Thai entrepreneurs headed by former Foreign Minister Asa Sarasin will visit Hanoi this week to seek business opportunities, the Thai Embassy in Hanoi announced on March 20.

The Thai delegation is interested in such areas as banking, insurance, energy, spare parts for automobiles, motorbikes and electronic components, construction and textile industry.

The delegation is expected to be received by the Vietnamese Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, and high officials from concerned ministries.

Thailand now ranks 12^th among 77 countries and territories investing in Vietnam. The total capital the Thai businesses have registered so far in Vietnam is about US$1.6 billion.
