Quang Ninh moves to improve FDI inflows from Singapore

VOV.VN - The Quang Ninh Investment Promotion Agency held a seminar on September 13 in Singapore as part of an effort to improve the declining curve of quality foreign direct investment (FDI) into the province.

In a keynote address at the event, Tran Nhu Long, assistant director of the Agency, welcomed all those in attendance and provided an overview of the business climate in the province.

Long emphasized the efforts the province has been making to improve the business environment including deregulation, simplification of administrative procedures, and the improvement of the transport infrastructure.

In addition, he described its appealing features including the huge consumer market, numerous investment opportunities, strong protection of intellectual property rights, premier living environment, and strong policies and support for foreign companies.

Specifically, Long told the investors of opportunities for investment into a waste water treatment project in Uong Bi City, a Co To Con resort and a hi-tech seafood processing plant in Co To Island.
