Six family members killed in fire accident
(VOV) - A fire broke out in a house in the northern coastal city of Haiphong early on December 29, killing six members of a family.
Initial report showed that the incident occurred at around 3am at a garment shop in Cat Dai ward, Le Chan district.

The victims were identified as Nguyen Duc Vinh (46), his pregnant wife Nguyen Thi Kieu (41), their two sons Nguyen Quang Minh (19) and Nguyen Van Trung (12), and their parents Nguyen Thuy Dieu (82) and Nguyen Thi Phuong (81).
Witnesses said it’s hard to keep the fierce blaze under control and break into the house, which stored a large amount of cloth, despite rescue efforts by fire fighters and police.

Fire police spent a lot of time breaking the door as it was locked from inside. Some fire fighters passed out due to the dense smoke.
Further investigations are underway to find out the cause of the tragic accident.
