The Association of Vietnamese in Russia has set up three more chapters in Yakusk and Omsk cities and Svetlov province to accelerate mutual assistance among Vietnamese citizens living there, as well as the amity between them and Russian organisations, authorities, and people.

Formed in 2004, the association has so far established 15 chapters in large regions and cities of Russia.

It actively works to help Vietnamese expatriates overcome difficulties and stabilise their lives for successful study and business in the country.

In addition, the association has been raising money for those affected by natural disasters, Agent Orange victims, and families of war invalids and fallen soldiers in Vietnam.
