Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Pham Tien Tu has been honoured for his active contribution to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba during his five-year term of office.

Cuba’s Friendship Medal was granted to him by Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque on July 11.

Addressing the presentation ceremony, Deputy FM Marcos Rodriguez extolled the Ambassador’s great contribution to developing bilateral relations.

The Cuban official highlighted the Vietnamese people’s national development cause and contributions to the international community, and expressed his delight at the close cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Tu thanked the Cuban Party, State and Government for helping him complete his mission in Cuba.
