The northern province of Ha Tay will give priority to foreign investment in its industrial projects in the near future.

The plan was announced at a conference on the province's potential investment opportunities for enterprises from the Republic of Korea (RoK) on April 4 in the presence of representatives from 40 RoK enterprises.

The province plans to attract projects involved in the production of electronic components and facilities, household utensils, auto parts, garments and footwear, mechanical engineering and manufacturing, as well as healthcare, education and training.

Ha Tay has created a favourable environment for foreign investors by accelerating administrative reform and providing tax preferences.

At present, RoK enterprises are investing in 18 projects in the province with a total capital of US$438 million.
