Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung has approved a list of 10 industries to receive priority for development from now until 2020.

The list includes textile and apparel, footwear, plastics, steel, chemicals, new technology products, and information technology, telecommunications and electronic equipment.

Priority will also be given to the development of the bauxite aluminum exploiting and processing industry, the agro-forestry and fisheries processing industry and the mechanical industry.

The government will provide investors with financial support (equivalent to less than half of their investment) to reduce the negative environmental effects of these industries.
