The Vietnam Investment Review will tee off a charitable golf tournament at the Chi Linh Star Golf Course in northern Hai Duong province on June 2 to raise funds for disadvantaged students.
The event organizers hope to rake in US$30,000 from donors and participants for the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund, which provides scholarships to outstanding students and pupils from several northern mountainous and central provinces.
As many as 240 golfers, including diplomats, entrepreneurs and foreigners working in Vietnam, are expected to compete in the tournament, said Nguyen Anh Tuan, the newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief and head of the tournament organizing committee.
