Cooking contest for Vietnamese in Singapore
(VOV) - FookUp – the first cooking competition of its kind for Vietnamese living Singapore was held in Claire Loves-Lifestyle Concept Store in Boat Quay, Singapore on April 26.
The cooking competition, organised by the Association of Vietnamese Professionals in Singapore (Vietnam 2020), aims to create an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in Singapore to get closer and learn more about Vietnamese dishes.
Aside from culinary techniques, entertainment and creativity were the decisive factors for winners. In the final round, Comegg team beat four outstanding teams to gain victory.
Nguyen Thi Lan Ngoc, a member of Vietnam 2020 said that this is the first time Vietnam 2020 has organised a cooking competition which has received such active involvement and support from the Vietnamese community in Singapore.
The association expressed hope that the event will continue to be held annually, helping competitors reduce stress and learn more about Vietnamese traditional dishes.
