The French publisher Chene has published a 270-page pictorial book entitled “Vietnam”, which contains hundreds of colour and black and white photos taken by photographer Nicolas Cornet.

With clear captions in French, the photos reflect animately all aspects of the daily life in Vietnam during Cornet’s trips to the country, including local customs and cultural identities, well-known tourist sites as well as rapid changes across Vietnam.

In an interview with a Paris-based VOV correspondent, Nicolas Cornet said that he had travelled to Vietnam many times to discover new things here. He was impressed greatly by many places he had visited. He said his aim was to capture true images of the Vietnamese life and society as well as ongoing changes in the country. He hoped the book will help French readers better understand a Vietnam in the process of strong development.

The book has proved immediately popular among French people following its release in Paris.
