The Prime Minister has authorised the Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore to sign a regional co-operation agreement on anti-piracy.
Signing procedures are being prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Prime Minister has also authorised the Ministry of National Defence to preside and coordinate with relevant organisations to make a plan for the implementation of the agreement. The Ministry of National Defence will be a point of contact for exchange of information between Vietnam and concerned countries in the region.
