Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung set the target for the Bank for Investment and Development of Cambodia (BIDC) to become the leading capital, assets, technological bank in Cambodia and strengthen its financial, insurance and stock market services.

BIDC also helped to promote Vietnamese enterprises and groups doing business in Cambodia.

The PM pledged to create favourable conditions for businesses and banks that are investing in foreign countries.

Mr Dung also paid tribute at the Independence Monument and the Monument to Vietnamese Volunteers.

Later that day, he met with Cambodian King Norodom Shihamoni, President of the Senate Samdech Chia Sim and National Assembly President Samdech Heng Samrin, Vietnamese embassy staff and attended a banquet at the invitation of Cambodian King.
