Among the participants were VOV Deputy Director General Hoang Minh Nguyet, and representatives of various local mass mobilization commissions from localities.

Addressing the meeting Nguyen Duy Viet, Vice Head of the Party’s Commission for People Mobilization, spoke highly of the role of VOV in this work and said VOV has become familiar to most people across the country.

VOV and local radio networks nationwide have played an important role in bringing the Party and State’s policies to the people. VOV is now disseminating information about good individuals and their deeds to create social cohesion and tighten ties between people and the Party.

VOV’s history is closely linked to that of the nation. Over the years, it has proved an effective publicity tool for the Party and served as a broad forum for the people.

During the long, arduous war of resistance against the Americans, VOV aired the Party’s and Ho Chi Minh’s exhortations for millions of Vietnamese people to gain victory on the battlefield.
