An International fair (Hanoi Expo 2008) opened at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre in Hanoi on October 8, providing a good chance for businesses to promote their trademarks, products and services and to share experiences.


Present at the opening ceremony was deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai.


Covering an area of 20,000sq.m, the fair has put up by more than 500 stalls nearly 300 businesses to showcase different kinds of products, services, fashion, furniture and processed food. Pride of place is taken by foreign businesses and organisations from the ASEAN, China, the Republic of Korea, India and the EU with a total of 80 stalls. 40 domestic artisans have displayed special and unique handicraft and furniture products.

This year’s fair highlights handicraft products from craft villages around Hanoi city.


The fair will last through October 13.
