FIFA president pledges to support growth of football in Vietnam

VOV.VN - FIFA president Gianni Infantino has pledged to support Vietnam Football Federation’s (VFF) efforts to develop football during his visit to Vietnam on February 8.

During his visit, the head of FIFA met with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien on the morning of February 8.

Mr Infantino visits the VFF headquarters in Hanoi.

The FIFA president receives a warm welcome from VFF officials, Vietnam’s women’s national football team, and the U23 squad.

The FIFA president holds a meeting for nearly one hour with VFF leaders, discussing issues related to the future development of football in Vietnam.

As the head of FIFA, Mr Infantino commits to provide assistance to VFF for the continued improvement of the nation’s football.

After the meeting, Mr Infantino takes a tour of VFF facilities and the youth football training centre.
