Vietnam will send eight athletes to compete at the 2008 International Wushu Tournament in Beijing, China from August 21-24.
The Vietnamese athletes include Vu Tra My, Nguyen Thuy Linh, Nguyen Mai Phuong, Nguyen Huy Thanh, Dinh Duc Trong, Nguyen Thuy Ngan, Luong Thi Hoa and Truong Trong Do. They will compete against rivals from 43 countries and territories for 10 sets of medals in the taolu (performance) event and five sets of medals in the sanshow (combat) event.
The International Wushu Federation (IWUF) held a press conference at the Olympic Press Centre in Beijing on August 5 to announce the tournament.
