Vietnam always respects its traditional friendship with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg Pham Sanh Chau.

Ambassador Chau emphasized this while presenting his credentials to Luxembourg’s Grand Duke Henri.

He expressed thanks to Luxembourg’s people and government for helping Vietnam in its cause of national development.

The diplomats briefed Grand Duke Henri on Vietnam’s recent socio-economic achievements as well as the government’s efforts to overcome the impact of the global financial crisis. He also affirmed Vietnam’s policy of renovation and comprehensive integration.

Grand Duke Henri highlighted the development of Luxembourg-Vietnam relations and expressed his special sentiments towards the Vietnamese people and their engagement in the effective implementation of the Vietnam-Luxembourg cooperation program.

The Grand Duke said he believes that his upcoming visit to Vietnam, at the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang, will contribute to deepening bilateral ties of friendship and cooperation.

**Previously, Vietnamese ambassador to Qatar Le Hong Phan presented his credentials to Amir Hamad Bin Khalifa An-Thani.

Ambassador Phan said the Vietnamese government and people always attach great importance to enhancing multifaceted cooperation with Qatar.

He pledged all-out efforts to help raise relations between the two countries to a higher level.

Qatar’s Amir expressed keen interest in closer cooperation with Vietnam in all fields, especially economics and investment.
