Two groups of Vietnamese students left Vietnam on July 8 for two international Olympiads on mathematics and physics, according to the Ministry of Education and Training.

Five gifted students from Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Hai Phong, Nghe An and Da Nang will take part in the 23rd International Physics Olympiad to be held in Singapore from July 8 to July 17.

 

Six others from Hanoi, Nghe An, Hai Duong, Ha Tinh and Vinh Phuc will compete in the 47th International Mathematics Olympiad, scheduled for July 12-18 in Slovenia.

Vietnam bagged one gold, two silvers and one bronze at the 22nd Int'l Physics Olympiad and six medals of all kinds at the previous Mathematics Olympiad.
