Fans of Japanese films in Ho Chi Minh City will have their dreams become true soon as eight popular films will be screened from October 8-14.

“Happy Flight”, “Rashomon”, “Tony Takitani”, “Kamikaze Girls”, “Sansho the Bailiff”, “5 centimetres per second” catoon, “Yunagi City, Sakura Country” and “Memories of Tomorrow” will also be aired in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province, from October 22-24 after the event closes in HCM City, according to a press release issued by the Japanese General Consulate in HCM City.

The Japanese film programme, co-sponsored by the Japanese General Consulate in HCM City and the Japan Foundation, aims to strengthen friendship and exchange of culture between the two countries.

“It will provide an opportunity for the citizens (of HCM City and Nha Trang) to further understand the Japanese land, people, culture and society, from traditional to modern, through films,” reads the press release.
