A conference was held in Beijing on June 23 by the Embassy of Vietnam and the Chinese Customs Service to promote trade and investment between the two countries. The conference drew the participation of 150 representatives from 200 largest enterprises in China.

Addressing the conference, Vietnamese ambassador to China Tran Van Luat underscored the need to promote trade and investment between the two countries by helping businesses gain a better understanding of the trade and investment situation of each country.

On this occasion, representatives from the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Embassy of Vietnam in China briefed participants about trade and investment activities in Vietnam and answered many questions raised by Chinese businesspeople and media workers.
