Danang marks 40th anniversary of liberation
(VOV) - The 40th anniversary of Danang's liberation was celebrated on March 28, attended by Deputy Prime Minster Nguyen Xuan Phuc along with municipal leaders and others.
In 40 years the city has become a leading city in the central region. It is looking forward to be an industrial city, which is worth living by 2020.
In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said, “The city of Danang should continue to enhance its revolutionary tradition and experience to create new momentum for more solid growth, contributing to national development. It is essential to turn Danang into a city of events and a modern, civilized city.”
The Deputy PM suggested the locality to keep up its goal as the country’s biggest centre for the fishing industry with an upgraded infrastructure for aquaculture and seafood processing.
Fireworks displays were staged in four places to celebrate this occasion.
