Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Takatoshi Kato will pay a working visit to Vietnam from May 23-24, according to the IMF Vietnam Office.
The visit, part of his tour of a number of Asian nations, aims to explore Vietnam’s development situation and promote the cooperation between the country and the IMF.

During his stay in Vietnam, Mr Kato is scheduled to meet the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the National Assembly. He will hold working sessions with the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Trade.
