The first container ship of the Grand Alliance docked at Tan Cang Cai Mep deep-water seaport in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on January 9.

M.V OOCL America, owned by Hong Kong’s carrier OOCL which is member of the Grand Alliance, will be fed at the port before sailing through the Suez Canal to dock at US ports.

After M.V OOCL America, the Grand Alliance, which also includes carriers Hapag-Lloyd and NYK Line, will send 10 other container ships to the port for loading.
