Radio Voice of Vietnam’s Economics, Science and Technology Department held a ceremony in Hanoi on December 28 to receive the State’s Labour Order, third class.

Established on August 16, 1993, the department daily broadcasts 11 programmes, keeping listeners abreast of the country’s developments in economics, science, technology, natural resources and environment. Every year, all its reporters have made more than 10,000 works in various genres such as commentaries, investigations, roundtable discussions and interviews. Many of them have won national broadcasting and press awards.

At the ceremony, VOV Director General Prof. Dr. Vu Van Hien praised the department for its achievements over the past years, which he said have helped promote the image of VOV and cater to the diverse tastes of its listeners. He asked the department and its staff members to work harder to produce more quality works.

Sharing her past experiences, senior retired journalist Hoang Lan, who had worked for the department for 30 years and has won many national press awards, called on young reporters to arouse their passion for the career and adhere to professional ethics.
