A new container wharf is under construction at Go Dau A Port in southern Dong Nai province with total initial investment of VND34 billion.

The wharf is the first of its kind to be built in the province to serve import-export activities of enterprises in the area, particularly foreign-invested companies.

Once operational, it can accommodate ships of up to 15,000 tonnes.

The project's owner - the Dong Nai Port Joint Stock Company, has so far operated there inland ports, namely Long Binh Tan, Go Dau A and Go Dau B, with a combined annual throughput of 1.8 million tonnes.
