Participants will discuss measures to renew Party leadership in political activities and enhance administrative reform with a view to improving management of the State apparatus.

The 10th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam opened its fifth conference in Hanoi on Thursday in the presence of Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh.

Participants will discuss measures to renew the Party leadership of political activities and enhance administrative reform with a view to improving management of the State apparatus. They will focus on Party and State building in line with the 10th National Party Congress’ resolutions and other important tasks to implement in the next few years.

The focus is also on ideological and theoretical work and the press in the new situation, organizational structure of the Government and the introduction of leaders from State agencies for the 12th National Assembly to consider and approve.

The conference will run through to July 14.
