The Social Sciences Publisher will release another collection of 61 epic narratives from the Central Highlands ethnic minorities by the end of 2007.

The collection is part of a project jointly conducted by the Vietnam Institute of Social Sciences and the five central highlands provinces of Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Lam Dong.

It aims to preserve and popularise the treasure of ethnic narratives in response to the gradual disappearance of the tradition of oral story telling.

Since 2001, the Social Science Publisher has issued a 1000-page collection of 14 ethnic narratives from the M'nong, Giarai, Bahnar and Cham ethnic groups.
