The Tokyo Industry Exhibition has opened with the participation of nearly 400 small and medium-sized businesses from Japan, Germany, England, Ireland, Spain, the Republic of Korea and Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on November 4, Sato Hiroshi, a representative of the Tokyo administration, welcomed participants to the exhibition. He said the municipal authorities will create incentives for entrepreneurs who want to do business in Tokyo.

The chief organizer, Nobuhiro Maeda, said this year’s event focuses on Information Technology, the Environment, Industrial Machine Manufacturing and Medicine.

During the exhibition, Hanoi will introduce images of Vietnam and its people as well as Hanoi’s preferential policies for foreign businesses.

This is a good chance for Hanoi and Tokyo businesses to share information and experience, said Nguyen Thi Thuy Van, Head of the Hanoi Representative Office in Tokyo.

The Tokyo Industrial Exhibition, one of the world’s biggest trade shows, is aimed at helping foreign companies boost collaboration with Japanese businesses.

The exhibition will run until November 6.
