State President Nguyen Minh Triet on October 7 cabled a message of condolence to his Kyrgyz counterpart Kurmanbek Bakiev over the loss of human lives in a recent earthquake.

The quake of some 6 magnitude jolted Southern Kyrgyzstan on the evening of October 5.
