According to experts, the team, which includes seven athletes, is not likely to gain medals at the tournament, due to the limited number of weight categories allowed (65kg, 75 kg, 80 kg) and the absence of Ly Duc and Pham Van Mach – the two leading Vietnamese bodybuilders.

The Vietnamese team has already assigned athletes to compete in the first Singapore Open Tournament launched by the host country for all participants in the Asian Championships.
