Police bust 5kg of synthetic drugs in Hanoi
(VOV) -On July 28, Hanoi’s Dong Da district police detained a man for illegally transporting 5kg of synthetic drugs from China to Vietnam.
The arrestee is Le Xuan Son, 39 who was detected for hiding large quantity of drugs inside a black bag when he was standing at a railway station in Hanoi on July 22.
Police said they noticed some suspicious signs, so they decided to conduct a search of the man and his possessions.

Upon rummaging through his bags, police officers found 5 small plastic bags, which all contained white powder.
Based on preliminary investigation, Son admitted he received the drugs from a Chinese man at the Tan Thanh border gate.
Afterwards, he returned to Hanoi and stated he intended to relocate to Nghe An to sell his purchase to drug addicts.
The case is under further investigation.
