The Vietnam International Real Estate Expo (VietReal 2010) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on December 9 with more than 300 booths introducing 50 domestic and foreign businesses in the field.

The VOV correspondent at the exposition reported that participating businesses display their products and information in really eye-catching ways. There were booths featuring consultancy, project management, finance-banking, architecture, interiors, and construction materials.

The expo enables Vietnamese real estate enterprises to learn about and explore opportunities for cooperation with world real estate groups that have set up branches in Vietnam such as Gamuda Land, Genuwin, Sova Holdings, and Coldwell Banker.

On the sidelines there will be seminars focusing on market and policy issues as well as opportunities and challenges faced by real estate investors.

These seminars include dialogues between entrepreneurs and leaders of the Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Finance on measures to boost the real estate market and avoid risks from market price fluctuations.

Nguyen Van Minh, Secretary General of the Vietnam National Real Estate Association, told the VOV reporter that the expo should provide comprehensive information about real estate to make this market more transparent.
