Construction begins on major National Highway 6 upgrade
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Transport has ceremonially broke ground on a long-awaited upgrade to a section of National Highway 6 in the northern province of Son La.

It should also help improve transportation efficiency by reducing the amount of time it takes to travel to or from Hanoi and the northwestern region of the country, which is particularly important for commerce.
The budgeted cost for the upgrade, said the Ministry, is estimated at US$351 million funded by US$301 million in loans from the World Bank and US$50 million from the national budget.
