The Health Service of central Da Nang city and the Marie Stopes International of the UK have launched a three-year project on reproductive healthcare improvement from the city down to the communal level.The project is estimated to cost US$300,000.

The city has also launched "Micro-nutrient Days 2006" to raise people's awareness of micro-nutrient deficiency and nutrition.

Children aged between 6 and 36 months are provided with vitamin A, while children under five and mothers receive iron pills and folic acid.
