Vietnam’s traditional ethnic costumes introduced in France

Vietnam’s fashion designer Minh Hanh will introduce 50 traditional ethnic dresses at the International Festival of Extraordinary Textiles (FITE) to be held in Clermont-Ferrand, France from September 12-16.

All these are made from fabrics hand-produced by Mong ethnic people in the northern mountainous provinces of Ha Giang and Lao Cai.

Miss Vietnam 2010 Ngoc Han, Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2010 winner Huyen Trang, two models from New Talent Company Pham Trang and Phuong Lien will perform on the catwalk along with French models.

Two fashion shows will be held at Bargoin Museum on September 13 and Lecoq Lake on September 15.

FITE is a platform for artisans and weavers from the Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin-America to demonstrate their skills and innovations.
