International Grandmaster Nguyen Van Huy from Hanoi won the men's event with 7 points, followed by Cao Sang from Lam Dong and Nguyen Huynh Minh Huy from Dong Thap.

In the women’s event, International Grandmaster Nguyen Thi Thanh An from Ho Chi Minh City topped the tournament with 7.5 points, with Hoang Thi Bao Tram from Hanoi coming in second and Hoang Thi Nhu Y from Thua Thien-Hue taking third place.
