Production in the paper industry will increase considerably in 2010 due to many projects being put into action, according to a forecast from the Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association.

The big scale of private investment would enable the production of 30,000 tonnes a year on average and the output would reach 100,000 tonnes per annum in one or two years.

Therefore, paper production would increase and imports would drop, giving exports more opportunity.

This year the market for printing and packing paper has seen many changes compared to other kinds of paper.

The Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association has warned businesses that they need to learn to adjust prices when the market fluctuates. Prices should not be increased or decreased within a month because of poor forecasting.
