The Vietnam Tea Association is calling on domestic enterprises to actively participate in Chinese food and beverage fairs with a view to increasing the popularity of Vietnamese tea products in this large market.
Currently, Vietnamese China-bound tea exports earn around US$10 million, accounting for around five percent of China's tea import turnover every year.

However, the export value remains low since most of the exported products are raw materials, and as such are almost unknown amongst Chinese customers.
Vietnamese export enterprises are strongly advised to look for potential partners to sign long-term supply contracts as well as conduct thorough research on target customers' appetites, said local experts.
