The third Robot Vietnam Satellite Badminton Tournament will be held at the Phan Dinh Phung Competition Hall in Ho Chi Minh City from April 19-23, the organising board said at a press briefing on April 11.
The tournament will draw badminton players from 12 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Laos, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
Nguyen Tien Minh, who won second prize at the previous event, will be Vietnam's biggest hope at this year's tournament. Meanwhile, duos Tran Thanh Hai-Le Ngoc Nguyen Nhung and Tran Thanh Hai-Nguyen Quang Minh are also expected to clinch their victories in the mixed doubles' and men's doubles events.
