Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on July 8 that he sees no possibility of a war between his country and the United States or Israel. He also predicted Israel would collapse without Iranian action.

"I assure you that there won't be any war in the future," Ahmadinejad told a news conference during a visit to Malaysia for a summit of developing Muslim nations.

Iranian officials issued a mix of statements in recent weeks about the possibility of a clash with the US and Israel.

But for months, Ahmadinejad and other Iranian officials have said they don't believe the US will attack because of its difficulties in Iraq, domestic worries and concerns over the fallout in the region.
