As many as 206 businesses registered to compete for the award which was based on four categories: environmental technology and quality control; product competitively capacity and business services; trademark development; business culture.

In his speech, Deputy PM Truong Vinh Trong praised the 100 businesses awarded the Golden Cup for overcoming all the recent difficulties and challenges in the context of the national economy integrating deeply into the world economy.

2010 will mark an important turning point of strategic significance for the country, therefore, businesses should try their best to implement all solutions worked out by the Government to fulfill their socio-economic tasks for 2010 to help build Vietnam into a powerful country with rich people living in a just, democratic and civilised society, said Mr Trong.
