The Vietnam International Trade fair (Expo 2007) opened in Hanoi on April 4 with the participation of State Vice President Truong My Hoa.

The State Vice President cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony and visited some pavilions of local and foreign enterprises.


Speaking at the fair, Ms Hoa highlighted the quality of various kinds of goods such as basic mechanical equipment, hi-tech products, and consumer goods. She said the fair provides good opportunities for foreign enterprises to penetrate the Vietnamese market and also to help Vietnamese businesses integrate into international economy. Ms Hoa stated that the fair will contribute to strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and other countries.


The 700-pavilion fair has attracted the participation of more than 500 Vietnamese enterprises, 54 international delegations of entrepreneurs from 18 nations in the world and 20 trade promotion delegations from cities and provinces in the country.
