Photo exhibition on Indian vestiges in Vietnam

(VOV) - A week-long photographic exhibition on Indian cultural vestiges in Vietnam opened at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations headquarters in Kolkata, capital of the Indian state of West Bengal on June 24.

On display are photographs of temples, towers and statues left over from the ancient kingdom of Champa, which were taken by India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee President Geetesh Sharma during his visits to Vietnam.

They were all focused on the historical traces of ancient kingdom of Champa in the central region of Vietnam stretching from Quang Nam to Binh Thuan provinces, showing a link between the ancient cultures of India and Vietnam nearly 2000 years ago.

President Geetesh Sharma said his photographic exhibition aims to give young generations a fresh insight into the cultural similarities of the two countries.

The exhibition has attracted a large number of visitors, including state officials, writers, poets, social and cultural activists, and media workers.
