The Central Highlands region registered a GDP growth rate of 13 percent in the past 11 months of this year, surpassing the country's average growth rate of 8.2 percent set by the National Assembly.

Central Highlands provinces have applied new policies to attract investment, speed up the construction of major projects and boost industrial production, husbandry and job generation. As a result, industry-capital construction recorded the highest increase of 22.5 percent among the sectors.

Several provinces in the region shoulder training fees for enterprises employing ethnic minorities, and reduce fees for ethnic minorities attending vocational training courses. Accordingly, about 8,500 people of ethnic origin had got jobs so far this year.
