Vietnam and Belgium on December 19 signed an agreement for implementing the 3rd phase of the "Access to coordinated credit and enterprise support services" project in Hanoi.

Signatories were Vietnamese Vice Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Bich Dat and Belgian Ambassador to Vietnam Philippe Jottard.

The project aims to help at least 100,000 poor households, particularly ethnic minority women from remote areas in 17 targeted provinces, easily access high-quality and diversified financial and business development services.

The project will receive nearly €4 million in total including more than €670,000 from Vietnam, €3 million from Belgium, and the remainder from the Belgian Government through the Counter Value Fund.

The project will be conducted by the Vietnam Women's Union and the Belgian Technical Cooperation Agency.
