A series of activities will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in November to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (November 7, 1917).

The Hanoi Union of Friendship Associations and the Hanoi Chapter of Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association will co-organise an exhibition showcasing Russia’s contemporary literary writings which were published in Vietnam. The exhibition is expected to draw the participation of the Literature Publishing House, the Centre of East-West Language and intellectuals who have studied in Russia.


Famous Russian poets and interesting poems on Russia, V.I. Lenin and the October Revolution will be introduced in a poetry night in Hanoi.

A seminar on the Russian October Revolution’s impacts on the Vietnamese theatrical arts will be held on November 3.


On this occasion, the Vietnam News Agency plans to open a photo contest themed “October Road” in the capital city.


Russia
’s famous Samara symphony orchestra will enchant Hanoians with two performances at the Hanoi Opera House on November 5 and 6.


Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City people will get more chances to know more about Russian unique cultural and artistic values through an exhibition entitled “The hallmark of Russia”, Russian dancing and music shows and a month of Russia movies.

Earlier, an artistic exchange, a quiz on Russia, a contest for Vietnamese and Russian children to tell stories about V.I Lenin and the October Revolution were held.

The Army Troupe performed a famous Russian play at the Hong Ha Theatre.
